Internet marketing…..spreading our wings

The group of students known collectively as the F500 to one another began mentoring with Alex Jeffreys 2 months ago. During that time we have been exposed to many aspects of internet marketing. We have gone from the basics of creating a domain and setting up hosting to the creation of videos to augment our online efforts.

The time is fast approaching when our official coaching with Alex will be complete. At that time we will be like young birds leaving the nest and as we begin to make our way into the vast world of internet marketing that lies before us. Many of us even now are beginning to exercise our wings in anticipation that fateful day when we lift off out of the safty of the nest and begin to soar. We are beginning to explore new areas of internet marketing and are beginning to see the value of the lessons we have learned.

Personally, I have begun to explore the possibilities that exist when marketing with sites whose products are supplied by datafeeds. I have needed to use the skills I have learned from our coaching. I have set up a site along with its hosting, utilized techniques to rapidly elevate the recognition and placement of the site sought out merchants who supply datafeeds for their products, downloaded the feeds and configured them for use. I have needed to use Filezilla, the basic HTML skills I have developed, the creation of Aweber forms and others I have acquired completing the projects in our coaching program. Perhaps most importantly is I have gone foward with a confidence which I would not have had “pre Alex”.

This exploratory flight has confirmed the value of the coaching program as well as my conviction that areas other than the marketing in the “internet marketing niche” can be a viable source of income.  It has also permitted me to future plan as I contemplate working with many sites such as this, further explore affiliate marketing, and then use that experience as the basis for a future product  which will allow others to follow my path. The following is the product of my brief adventure away from the nest . It is presented an example of how I have been able to use the tools I have acquired, perhaps serving as proof that what we are learning from Alex has merit should anyone still doubt, and to inspire you to begin to look beyond the nest.

I am sure that there are many of us who have had experiences similar to mine. I would invite you to comment here about how you have started using the tools that Alex has taught us and also to give a brief glimpse of how you plan to use your new confidence, knowledge or both after our formal coaching is complete.

I encourage anyone who has not yet started to consider your path after the coaching program to begin. Begin to plan for your success because as  Gary Simpson wrote in a recent post on his blog you have “NO LIMITS”!

    Hi Ken

I’m pleased to see you talking about spreading your wings and I popped over to have a look at your link.

Are you a tennis player then? My son is receiving regular coaching at the moment and we all enjoyed the Australian Open. I’ll have another look at that later.

Did you listen to Alex’s session 6 last night? I had to leave before the end as I was so tired, but Gary Simpson has a good precis in his latest post.

I have still to move forward on other projects, but I do have lots of ideas and need to plan exactly which route I am taking.

One of the things Alex said last night was to tell our story, so I have just done that in my latest post. Do have a look if you would like to learn more about me and tell me what you think. Make sure that you read the whole post!

Anyway look forward to seeing you.

    Hilary

    Ken,

You may know I’m on another coaching program about getting quality traffic from Google.

There several people have told stories of how Google don’t appreciate affiliate programs, and have therefore penalised sites that have installed various plug-ins from Amazon, E-Bay and the like.

As you’re someone who made a comment on my blog about what I will do next you will next week be given a link to a video I am making that covers this, and lots more.

By the way thanks for your comment and help over at my place.

    Stephen
