Productive Weekend……
A few days ago I outlined what I hoped to accomplish this weekend. I am happyt to report that it was a very successful weekend. I got my eBook up and offered on my blog. In accomplishing this I have become much more comfortable working with HTML and can actually understand what the code is doing when I look at a piece of HTML.
I was also able to get a twitter account open and gain a few followers. I decided that I would follow a few of the “gurus” to observe how they might use twitter as a tool and was totally shocked when a few hours later I got a message that one of them had signed on to follow me. Talk about feeling some pressure to not do something stupid!!!
I was also able to listen to the most recent course module and brainstorming session. It is amazing how much you can gain by hearing the information again. I was motivated to think of several additional things I might try to generate traffic and look forward to trying them.
The most significant accomplishment was one that was unexpected. Through the course of the weekend I found myself reaffirming my commitment to myself to be successful.I have read posts by some of our fellow students that have had an underlying tone of dissapointment that they are not as successful to this point as they had hoped to be. To be honest, I have had similiar thoughts pass through my mind. The key words being “pass through”. I am committed to success. When these thoughts come I intend to refocus on making sure that I am doing all I can to create a foundation for the growth which will come. Unfortunately, there will be some of our group who will not reach the success they seek. I firmly believe that all who committ to following the steps Alex presents to us will be successful. Success will come sooner to some than to others but I firmly believe it will come.
As I said it was a successful weekend. Some of the success is already evident on my blog. Some will become evident over the next few weeks and months and some will forever be evident only to me. Yes it was indeed a successful weekend!

The problem with EVERY ONE of us is that none of us can see our OWN growth. I see it in YOU every time I come here. I see it in Valerie Davies and I even see it in Garry Parkes even though he seems about twenty city blocks ahead of the next nearest person.
It is a bit like when you have kids. You do not notice how much your own child has grown. But you do with other people’s kids and they with yours. It’s the same here.
If you have been keeping a journal, just spend ten minutes and look back through it. I have a hieroglyphic system of symbols and things that I tag entries with when I LEARN something or notate an entry where I NEED to learn something.
In that way I can plough ahead and keep all these notes later for revision or follow up. You would not believe the symbols that I have accummulated. I was gonna mention it in my Time in Motion ACTION Planner but didn’t for the sake of confusing people too much with my own pedantic systems
